The Judgment Of Biestia

One morning, Petey Myshkin Stephenson and his best friend Chace go to the beach and get swept away to sea and abducted by pirates.  They begin a mysterious adventure in an alternative world that has hardly changed in two and a half centuries, and where there is no U.S.A.. The boys are locked in a cabin with a beautiful Chantilly cat and a tenacious bulldog. After a sea battle with two enemy ships, their ship is wrecked, and the boys become castaways with the two animals.
 
A storm sweeps Petey and Chace to an island in a place called Biestia ruled by foxes who imprison them. These regular boys, with no special "powers" except their wits, must defend themselves in an animal court, and ultimately rely on each other, and the two helpful animals, to find their way home.
